This was the soundtrack of God during the creation of the Universe, can’t you just hear this song playing, while picturing thousands of galaxies being formed from the dark. “Let there be light”. No surprise, woman came just a second after man, look at the little bit of cuteness with the blond hair in green dancing behind him. Thank you AC/DC for being badass. You rule rock n roll.

no cables or wireless transmitter on angus’ guitar. a perfect recorded version rendition. must be an ‘airband’ performance. no disrespect to the bagpipes!

Bon or Brian? Who cares?

What’s to argue? AC/DC fricken rules all day all night!

The Bon/Brian arguement is BS. Bon took them to one level, Brian another. Bon was an awesome frontman, charismatic as anything, had a great voice. Brian hasn’t the stage presence that Bon had, but with a powerful-as-fuck voice like Johnson’s, it makes up for it. Hell’s Bells or For Those About To Rock wouldn’t be the same without Johnson at the mic. Cheers to the both of them, and thanks to the both of them for making my life better with their music.

I’ve been a Bon Scott-era fan from day one, but will give credit where credit is due. Brian rips it up. Angus said he (Brian) got the job because when he auditioned “he was the only one we could hear”. He may not have Bon’s voice (or charm or charisma for that matter), but the the fucker can belt ‘em out.

ok, Brian did have some big shoes to fill, he did it with a lot of hard work and the passion to rock the fans as good as bon did. I salute him for a job well done. long live ac/dc

Looks like I had a few comments on my comment. A friend and I were talking about ac dc yesterday. Although Brian had some BIG shoes to fill, he did it with grace and alot of hard work. ac dc and Brian Johnson are still one the best real bona-fide headbanging bands in the world ! hands down

Goddamn ol boy is gettin it and has to be geeked up. no doubt. And for the record- B.J. gives BJs compared to Bon. All puns intended!

@brite2155 i’m a rocker myself, and in my book ac/dc are the greatest rock band in music history, and bon had the most unique voice ever, a great guy who was killed by a bad habbit, and i understand what you’re saying but give brian a chance, he has a good voice himself and he hasn’t tried to copy bon or anything like that, bon would want ac/dc to carry on and brian was a good choice, the boys and himself knew that he had some pretty big shoes to fill, and i think that he has done it quite well

Fucking right, Bon rules! That takes some lung power to finish that bagpipe piece and go straight back into singing.

@HectorDaBull
Probably one of the reasons is the limitations it puts on songs. Bagpipes only have 9 notes (non chromatic) from 1 key (usually B flat) so all songs would have to be in that one key.
However, Dropkick Murphys have made plenty of good piping songs

In 1980 when John Lennon was killed, 2 other deaths in rock and roll were’nt covered as much. Bon Scott in February 1980 and John Bonham in September 1980. Those 3 deaths within 1 year changed rock and roll. Bon Scott just hit the big time with Highway to Hell and John Bonham was the best drummer in rock(sorry Neil Peart fans), about to go on tour with Zeppelin when he died. It’s too bad Lennon’s death overshadowed Bon’s and Bonham’s. Did you ever notice all 3 names intertwine? Interesting.

“Bon came down and George was wanting something different for the solo. Bon always said he was in a highland bagpipe band, but it turns out he was the drummer. Bon had never played bagpipes before in his life.” – Angus Young

According to an interview with Angus Young, Bon Scott never played bagpipes before he played them with AC/DC, and actually played drums in the Fremantle Scots Pipe Band. Bon has the chanter mic’d in this video, which he wouldn’t do if he was “faking”, as some say.

@tangogonzo , I read Bon put his pants on by turning them inside out and rolling them up his legs!
