Why Do I Love The Bagpipes?

For anyone who has ever asked themselves that question, what answer did you come up with?

Well, the truth is that there really is no reason to come up with an answer or to even ask yourself that question. Because piping is in your blood.
However, you could make a case for the question of why you PLAY the bagpipes. Let’s face it, other instruments are easier to play, have more sex appeal, offer greater money making opportunities etc.

Well, the way I look at it, I don’t look at it. In other words, it doesn’t matter why I play bagpipes, just that I play them with everything I have got. Life is way to short to ponder ever choice you make.

But bagpipes have no peer when invoking deep personal responses from listeners. It is hard to explain but the mournful sound can have a dramatic effect on people. Hence the popularity of piping at funerals.
